Pattern:

MATERIALS NEEDED:

• Brown yarn

• White yarn

• 4.0 mm crochet hook

• scissors

• stuffing

• a rock

ABBREVIATIONS:

• sc (single crochet)

• MG (magic ring)

• inc (increase)

• dec (decrease)

• slst (slipstitch)

FOR THE FIRST PART OF THE FOOTBALL BASE:

• make a MG with 6 sc in it

• R2 through R5- alternate between sc and inc

• R6 through R11 - all sc

• Tie off the brown yarn

• Now, let's move on to the fun part!

STUFFING:

• Take your rock, and smear it with glue

• Now cover the rock in stuffing, until it is bigger than the football

• See the images below for guidence

THE REST OF THE FOOTBALL BASE:

• Putt the stuffing-coated rock into the football half. The rock should bulge out of the top

• R1 - alternate between sc and dec

• R2 - all sc

• R3 through R5 - alternate between sc and dec

• R6 and on - all dec until closed

• Now tie off the yarn, and the football base is done!

WHITE DECOR:

• Use slst to make the circles around the ends of the football (as shown in the pictures below)

• Use slst to crochet the stitches on the football

• And next...your done! Congrats, you have completed your crocheted football.
