Are you ready to crochet? Let's go!
(If you are not familiar with a Grannie square, look below this text to see a written out pattern)
Ch 4 and connect to the first ch with a slst.
ch 3 and insert 2 tr into the loop.
ch three and insert three more tr into the loop.
ch another three and instert 3 tr into the loop.
ch another 3and insert the last 3 tr into the loop. Ch 3 and connect to the first ch three with a slst.
This is the first part of the grannie square. You have made a mini square. You should see four holes that you made with your ch three on the corners. Now, here comes the hard part...(but I'm sure that you can do it :)
flip around your work and ch 3.
insert 2 tr into your first hole and ch 3.
insert 3 more tr into the same hole and ch 1
insert 3 tr into the next gap on and ch 3 and insert another 3 tr into the same gap.
ch 1 and insert 3 tr into the next gap. ch another 3 and do 3 more tr.
for the last time, ch 1 and insert 3 tr into the next gap. ch 3 and insert three more tr into the same gap. ch 1 and connect with a slst to the first ch 3.
Have you started to get the idea of what you have to do? I hope so. Keep continuing in the gaps until you have done 15 rows into total, and voila! You're done! (with one square, also, change color when you have five rows of light or dark purple. Switch to the next color and continue that for the next 10 rows.
Make a total of 12 squares for your blanket. I will show some pictures below.
