Let's move on to the body
BODY:
Use blue yarn for this part
Attach the yarn onto the head of the hedgehog
R1 through R5 - all sc
R6 - Follow this pattern: sc, sc, dec. sc, sc, dec...
This is the time to stuff the head and body! Make sure to put enough in.
R7 and on - all dec until closed
Tie off your yarn.
PRICKLES:
Now, this is the hardest part, so listen carefully!
Attach the blue yarn to the top of the hedgehog's body using slst and make 5 ch as shown in the images below.
Now attach the 5 ch to the next stitch using slst
Hooray! You have made your first prickle!
Repeat this process to make the rest of the prickles, covering all of the body except for the belly
(I had to use red for the back because I ran out of blue!)
FOR THE PAWS:
R1 - Make a MG with 6 sc in it
R2 - all sc
R3 - crochet the paw onto the body using slst
Repeat these steps to make the other paw
FINISHING TOUCH!
Use a black marker to draw a nose onto your hedgehog.
Hooray! You are done making the Holiday Hedgehog!
