Paisley the Princess Doll

Free Crochet Pattern

Get ready for some fun crocheting! Paisley is a medium-hard crochet pattern, specifically for experienced crocheters. For this pattern, I mostly used back loop only stitches, so that the rounds would be visible.

All girls will absolutely adore this wonderful doll. She has the cutest accessories, making her prettier than most dolls we have on this site!

Materials needed:

Abbreviations:

HEAD:

This is the head on my fourth round.

This is the head on my sixth round.

This is the head after ten rounds.

This is the head when I have crocheted my fifteenth round and stuffed it.

Here is the head after I have finished all of the rounds. It is about a little more than three inches high.

SHOES AND SOCKS:

This is the bottom of the shoe after three rounds. Now I will change the color to white for the socks.

Now I have added on part of the sock with white yarn. I will add on more sock by single crocheting for three more rounds.

This is the finished shoe! I have crocheted the sock up four rounds, and put on the blue shoestrap

These are the finished product of the shoes! They are each about one and three fourths inches high. Now I will add on the legs in skin color.

LEGS:

*Note: Stuff the leg as you crochet it up, or else it will be extremely difficult to stuff it when it is finished.

Here is the first leg! I have crocheted fourteen rounds of skin color above the sock.

Yay! I have completed both of the legs. Next, I will crochet the body in the baby blue yarn.

BODY:

Here is the body after two rounds up.

I have stuffed the body and I will start to decrease to form the neck.

HAIR:

Here is the front of the head with hair!

This is the back of the head, with the crocheted braided chain stitches. Now, I will crochet the head onto the body.

I have crocheted the head onto the body using single crochet. You can also use a yarn needle to attach the head. She is about twelve inches. Next, I will make the skirt.

SKIRT:

Here is the first part of the skirt. I have completed five rounds already.

I have completed eight rounds so far!

Here is the skirt after twelve rounds! All I have to do now is line it with dark blue yarn, and crochet it onto the body of the doll using slip stitch.

This is the completed skirt! Now, all that's left is her arms and sleeves!

ARMS:

This is the first arm, attached with slip stitch. I will follow the same instructions to make the next arm.

She looks great already! I have finished both of her arms. All that is left is the easy ruffle sleeves with lining. You're almost done!

SLEEVES:

Congrats! If you've made it this far, the crocheting part is over. Now, all that's left to do is make the facial features by using safety eyes (or googly eyes colored in with sharpie) and a pink marker.

FACE:

I used safety eyes and a pink marker to make eyes and rosy cheeks

Here is her face!

PAISLEY'S ACCESSORIES:

Paisley's Necklace

To make this necklace, I simply took a piece of yellow yarn and tied knots in it each an equal amount of spaces apart.

To make these flowers into a crown, I alternated colors and used hot glue to paste them onto her head. Click here for their pattern.

Paisley's Bow

To make this, all I did was crochet ten chain stitches, and tied them in a bow.
