Radiant Rose
Free Crochet Pattern
Try out this pattern by Wonderwool! This radiant rose is easy to crochet, and simply a beautiful addition to headbands, hats, and many other projects. Let's get crocheting!
MATERIALS NEEDED:
Red yarn
Yellow yarn
Green yarn
4.0 mm crochet hook
Scissors
Yarn needle
ABBREVIATIONS:
MG (magic ring)
sc (single crochet)
inc BLO (increase back loop only)
sl st (slip stitch)
ch (chain stitch)
dc (double crochet)
inc dc (increase double crochet)
FOR THE FLOWER:
Use red yarn for this part
R1 - Make a MG with 6 sc in it
R2 and R3 - all inc BLO
R4 and on - sl st, 2 ch, dc, inc dc, dc, 2 ch, sl st. Repeat 10x. This will make a petal. Now, once you repeat this all around the outside of the circle that you have crocheted, continue crocheting the petals onto the lines of BLO that you made on the circle. This will make a spiral of petals (a rose). You should have made 10 petals.
Tie off your yarn. Your flower should look like the image below.
FOR THE LEAVES:
Use green yarn for this part
R1 - ch 8
R2 - all sc.
Now, to continue the row, crochet sc all the way around on the OTHER SIDE of the chs. This will make an oval.
ch 1 and then tie off yarn. Now, get ready to make the next leaf!
R1 - ch 12
R2 - all sc. Like the other leaf, this row and the next should go ALL THE WAY AROUND both sides of the ch.
R3 - all sc, then sl st, ch, and tie off your yarn.
Sew together the leaves and rose using yellow yarn and your yarn needle. Use the images below for guidance.
