MATERIALS NEEDED:
Light blue yarn (you can use any color instead of this!)
Dark blue yarn (you can use any color instead of this!)
4.0 mm crochet hook
Scissors
ABBREVIATIONS:
ch (chain stitch)
inc (increase)
sc (single crochet)
dec (decrease)
Let's get started!
FOR THE EYE HOLES:
R1 - Make 20 ch and connect the first ch to the twentieth ch
R2 - All sc
Tie off your yarn! you have made the first circle. Repeat these simple steps to make the next.
FOR THE MAIN PART OF THE MASK:
Use dark blue yarn for this part.
Make a slip knot
R1 - Attach your crochet hook onto the side of one of the eye circles, and make inc along the top and all the way to the other side of the eye circle (the dark blue yarn should run along half of the circle by now). Next, make two or three ch. Connect the ch to a side of the other eye circle using sc, and make inc to the other side of it. See the pictures below for guidance.
R2 and R3 - (only crochet on top of the dark blue strip that you just made, not on the bottom of the mask) make all sc, until you get to the ch. When you get there, make 2 dec. After you are not on the ch, make all sc for the rest of the round.
R3 continued - Now, make sc all along the bottom of the mask. Round three should go ALL THE WAY AROUND the mask
Tie off your yarn! All that's left to do is the easy part.
FOR THE STRAPS:
Make a slip knot and connect it to the side of the mask. Crochet 30 ch, and then tie off your yarn. Do this for the other side as well.
